Do I need experience to work as a Behavior Technician?+-
Some experience is helpful, but it is not required. Autism FIRST provides training, guidance, and ongoing support for new Behavior Technicians. We help you learn the skills you need to work directly with children and support families.
Does Autism FIRST provide training or supervision for BCBAs and RBTs?+-
Yes. We offer training, mentorship, and supervision for Behavior Technicians and BCBAs. Our team values continued learning and professional development.
What is the work environment like?+-
Our teams work in clinic settings, home-based programs, and community settings, depending on the role. The clinic and home-based environments are part of our hybrid program, which allows us to support children across the places where they grow and learn. Staff collaborate closely, share ideas, and work together to provide consistent, high-quality care for every family.
Are part-time positions available?+-
Yes. Many Behavior Technician positions offer part-time scheduling, including late afternoon and evening hours. Some clinical and administrative roles may also offer flexible or full-time schedules.
